Before founding Teal Media, Jessica served as Design Manager for the 2008 Obama presidential campaign where she oversaw the visual design and development of all web and print materials. Prior to the campaign, Jessica worked for Blue State Digital, the National Gallery of Art, the Democratic National Committee, and the Office of the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Jessica has 25 years of design and development experience. She also served as a special consultant to the Obama White House as part of the U.S. Digital Service, advising on digital strategy, user experience, and visual design. She was listed in “The Top 50 Women Leaders of DC” by Women We Admire, was named in the top 5 “Responsible Designers to Watch” by Graphic Design USA, has been featured in Forbes as part of the ongoing Self-Made Women series, and has been a speaker at SXSW Interactive, NTEN, NOI, RootsCamp, and Netroots Nation.
Jessica was also a Founding Member of Chief, a private network built to drive more women into positions of power and keep them there.
